Most of the tourist attractions are located in the heart of the city, therefore using public transportation isn't necessary most of the time.
You can easily reach almost every district in the city through Wroclaw's dense net of bus and tram connections.

ARRIVAL:
BY PLANE at the M.Koperik airport located 15 km from city center. At the airport there are few ATM's, money exchange, airline representative offices, bar, restaurant, shops and car rentals. By the terminal you will find a parking lot and in front a taxi rank and public bus stop of a 406 BUS that goes to the city center (you can buy tickets at the terminal or at the ticket vending machine at the bus stop, adult fare:2,40 zl and reduced 1,20 zl). It takes about 20-40 min to go to the city center from the terminal depending on the traffic.

BUSES:
The bus lines are divided into:
1) regular marked with numbers from 100-149
2) fast buses (higher fares) marked with letters;
they run from 4 am-11 pm on working days and 5 am-10:30 pm on weekends.
There are also:
rush hour buses (300),express (400), outside the city limits (600) and night lines (240-259) that run from 12 am-4am every 30min.

TRAMS:
Trams are marked with numbers from 0-24 and run within the city limits from 5am-10:30pm on workig days and 6am-10pm on weekends. Regular fare is applied to all the lines.
BUS AND TRAM TICKETS:
First you need to look for the ticket machines located at the tram/bus stops or in nearest place to the stops. Small ticket machines are also located on board of  almost every tram/bus and are to be operated only by credit/debit cards (no cash accepted).
Buying the right ticket depends on frequency of you travel. Remember to validate your ticket immediately after entering the vehicle (not applicable to "day tickets"as they are activated at the time of purchase).

TAXI:
Watch out for taxi ranks at the railway station, bus stations and in the city center. Always take an official taxi (with corporation logos and price list on passenger's window) and ask how much before you get in. Before dialing the 5 digit taxi phone number start with the city code 71.

BICYCLES:
If you prefer getting around Wroclaw in eco-friendly way try the
NextBike public bicycle rental bike. The street side bike stands are
located across the city with 140 bicycles available to use. The first
20 min of your bicycle journey is free. Then the first hour is 2 PLN
and the following hours are 4 PLN each.
